圣诞节之前，邮局里同预料中一样，拥挤。厅里一面是柜台，另一面是一扇大大的玻
璃窗。拐角上摆着一棵大约六尺高的圣诞树，上面挂着一些金色、银色和红色的亮
亮的玻璃球，树顶上有一颗大大的银色的星星。室外的气温大概是华氏二十几度吧。
透过窗子向外看，清亮的蓝天上高高地悬着几丝薄云。下午两点太阳暖烘烘的，照

老王，名爱民，生于一九四九年，是同上北京见毛主席的梦一起出生的。
可惜的是，王爱民生错了人家。他生在武汉附近的一个小城市，成分在一生下来就
是资产阶级。家里其实并不是大贵大富，曾有过几间房和一个女佣。当然了，那
时候还没有王爱民呢。
王爱民小的时候并不爱读书，太贪玩。小学一年级读了两回。到了中学以后，他成
