My first driving training

Frankly, it was not the very first driving training for me. I had practised with my husband in a parking lot for quite a few times, but the speed never reached 15 mph. I was always complaining at my poor sense of balance while little improvement came out of the trolling trips.
I turned to the driving school, and today I practised under the supervision of an instructor, who seems quite experienced on training new drivers.
I was freaked out when he let me sit at the driver's seat at the very beginning of the training. He didn't even ask any detail of my driving experience. I got on the car, belt fastened, staring at him hoping he would give more directions before I start the engine. He explained the signs on the board briefly and then asked me to start the power. I followed the instructions without thinking too much about my fear. Whenver I did something wrong or inappropriate, he corrected me quietly; if I did something well, he immediately gave me a positive feedback.
After I made sure he would not embarrass me no matter how silly I could be, I had more courage to press on the gas. At first I always kept the car at under 25 mph on a street with a 35 mph speed limit, then I was convinced the instructor would keep everything safe with the brakes on his side. Therefore, I began to speed, having problem in stopping the car promptly and gentally. The brakes must have worn out if I had driven the car for 1 more hour. Other than that, I also have problems in keeping the car in the middle of the lane and turning the car right/ left smoothly and operating the wheel stably... I have quite a few problems. I know it takes practise, just keep going!
Tomorrow I will practise in our own car, with my husband's instruction. However, I still feel uncertain if he could give enough supervision without extra brakes. Anyway, eventually I will go to the real road with our own car, I have to face it. Just do it, with both courage and caution!
