Annual Check-up

Yesterday was Olivia and Evan's Annual check-up. Olivia just turned 11 today (Happy Birthday, sweetieJ) and Evan just turned 8 a couple of weeks ago.

I know Olivia is tall but I didn't expect her to be almost 5 feet 3 now (62.75" or 159.4cm). She "scared" the mother of one of her childhood friends the other day who hadn't seen her for the past couple of years as she was taller than the mother already! It is funny though that she is only the 4th tallest girl in her class as the top four tallest girls of the 5th grade are all in her class! I am not going to disclose her weight here as she would kill me if she knew that I posted her weight on the internetJ. Bottom line: both her height and weight were off the chart for her age as usual.

Because of Olivia, I have never thought of Evan being a big boy (he is skinny too) but he is 52.25" tall and weighs 69 lbs now, both above 90% of his age group. So he is a big boy too!

Both kids are healthy so Mommy is pretty happy.

Olivia also got the first shot of Gardasil, the cervical cancer vaccine which Mommy makes. It is an amazing feeling seeing the work I have done can directly impact the life of my own child. After I told Olivia that this vaccine was the first in the world which could prevent her from getting cervical cancer, she said: "I am so lucky!"

Yes, you are indeed very lucky sweetieJ.
