(2014-12-23 07:30:41) 下一个
Dad found the following link interesting and asked each one of us to take the test. The test has 12 questions and based on your answers, it maps your brain and sees how close it is matching up some famous ones.

CREDITS AND METHODOLOGY
What Does This Show?
Map Your Mind shows which areas of the brain are associated with particular attributes or behaviors, based on the latest scientific research.
Where Does the Research Come From?
The data that powers Map Your Mind comes from peer-reviewed, scientific studies published in reputable academic journals over the last decade. Many of the studies employ fMRI technology to measure blood flow and areas of fluctuating activity in the brain.
Who's on the Advisory board?
A special thank you to Moran Cerf, Ph.D., a leading researcher in behavior, emotion and decision making at Northwestern University, and Kevin Weiner, a specialist in perception and cognition at Stanford's Vision & Perception Neuroscience Lab and the Institute for Applied Neuroscience, for their advice and guidance.

Below is a summary of everyone’s results:

Dad – “You are the brainchild of Isaac of Arc”
“You get your introverted side from both Isaac Newton, the famous physicist and mathematician, and Joan of Arc, the bold, fearless French heroine. You're intellectually curious but rational, and can sometimes have neurotic tendencies due to your intense dedication to your work; you get these traits from Isaac Newton. However, you balance these Type A personality traits with a positive outlook and endless energy, thanks to Joan of Arc, which makes you an intense but inspiring person to be around”

Olivia – “You are the brainchild of Michelangelo Lincoln”
“You're a pure optimistic who highly values confidence in yourself and others, and have an attention to detail that sets you apart from other dreamers. You get both of these qualities from Abraham Lincoln, the revered, 16th President of the United States who led the U.S. through the Civil War and ultimately abolished slavery. You're also full of curiosity, energy and imagination; you get these traits from Michelangelo, the Renaissance-era Italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet, and engineer. Your confidence, optimism and focus might make you intimidating to be around, but for those who can handle it, your personality is contagious.”

Me - “You are the brainchild of Romeo Hercules”
“You're a free spirit who is full of energy, curiosity and a willingness to take on new challenges. You get these traits from the famous hero of Greek mythology, Hercules, and Romeo Montague, the idealistic protagonist from Shakespeare's ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ You also have intense emotions, which is part of what makes you a valuable and dedicated friend. You're the kind of person other people gravitate to and are an adventurer at heart.”

Finally, I asked Evan to take the test. I had a feeling his result would probably be very close to Dad’s since they have similar personality. And boy, am I right! He had exactly the same result as Dad:).

Though this is just for fun, I thought the results were pretty accurate to match everyone’s personality:).
