Family is More Important!

I have been working late quite often recently. Sometimes I only got to see the kids in the morning as they were already asleep when I came back at night. 

I asked Olivia today if she was mad at me that I have worked so much and haven't cooked much for them and spent time with them.

"No, I am not mad at you. I understand you have to work a lot. But you know family is more important than work." she said with a smile.

Yes, I do, sweetie. And because I know that, I have been feeling very guilty lately for not being able to take care of the family and spend time with the kids. I guess because I am a "perfectionlist", I can not just let work go on one hand, but on the other hand, I can not let the family go either. So I am doomed to be torn in between. 

Well, hopefully things at work will settle down a little so I get to be a mom again :)

By the way, today we had the biggest snow I have ever seen! No school for the kids today and tomorrow and it looked like everyone worked from home today, kinda nice for a change.
