发呆，“芳心是事可可”
9月9日早上，蕾蕾被大果叫醒。
“蕾蕾快起来，看外面太可怕啦！”
蕾蕾一骨碌爬起来，两人在窗前看外面的天色如世界末日一样诡异：九点钟了，外面还是很暗，整个世界仿佛被一张厚厚的暗橘色的棉被盖住一样，连街道上的噪音都比平时少，好像大家在这样的时刻都躲在家里不敢出来一样。他们三人来到后院，发现烟味居然不大。蕾蕾上网查了一下，原来这次包裹旧金山湾区的烟尘是来自Oregon的大型山火，因为在比较高的地方，所以下面闻不到太大的烟味。可是这种遮天蔽日的感觉，让人心感惶恐。今年真是流年不利呀！
果真回到房间工作，大果开始网课。蕾蕾呆呆地看了一会儿窗外的天色，忽然觉得喘不上气来。她缩在Robert的小床上，陷入了极度不安之中。她觉得自己心跳加速，呼吸急促，看样子是焦虑症被突发的状况触发了。蕾蕾蹲循心理治疗师的指导，开始闭上眼睛打坐，一次次慢慢地深呼吸。但很快那些吸气呼气就变成了低声抽泣。她很想发信息给Robert，但又怕他担心。她也不敢告诉父母，觉得无从解释。她也不能给大果和大姨再增加负担了……
蕾蕾慌忙和自己的精神科医生联系，很快在医生指导下服了药，然后在小床上缩成一团。她打开手机里自己和Robert共同喜爱的歌曲playlist，让音乐把自己包裹住。但是那些歌曲，每个都把她拉回以往的一个个瞬间，反而让她更悲伤。就像是一个拼命希望到水面吸一口气的人，一次次被无形的沉重拉到水底。其中一首歌，是Calum Scott 唱的You Are The Reason。

蕾蕾听着，哭着，迷迷糊糊睡着了。不知过了多久，她醒来看到窗外还是暗沉死寂。她拿起手机看了一眼，已经是下午三点了。太阳像是一个咸鸭蛋黄挂在棕褐色的天上。手机里有一条新短信，是Robert。蕾蕾打开一看，是他发来的一首歌。那条信息之前的，是蕾蕾刚才迷糊间发给Robert的You Are the Reason，连她自己也记不得了。Robert发来的也是他们共同喜爱的歌手Adele 唱的Make You Feel My Love。

蕾蕾听着Adele磁性而极富冲击力的嗓音，想着以前两人相拥听歌的情景，痛痛快快地哭出声来，吓得大果和果真都赶来查看。问清缘由，果真拉大果走开，好给蕾蕾一点空间。大果在厨房里挠挠头，叹口气：“谈恋爱真是要命呀！女孩子脑袋里都在想啥呢？明明是开心的事嘛！” 果真不由得笑了出来，看来这个憨小子还没完全开窍！
忽然门铃响了，蕾蕾走过去开门。看到Robert风尘仆仆地站在门口，蕾蕾整个人呆住了。Robert丢下背包，把蕾蕾拥入怀中，在一个浸透泪水的长吻之后，他单腿跪下，从怀里掏出一个小盒子，打开来，露出一枚别致的戒指。蕾蕾捂着嘴，破涕为笑。然后用手按着自己的心，哑着嗓子说：“你怎么耽搁了这么久！？”
“这个做起来比我想象的要费时间！”
蕾蕾的眼泪又下来了：“你做的？！”
“要不要试试？”
“嗯！”蕾蕾把手伸了出去。
“你还没说yes呢！”
“你问了吗？”
“嫁给我好吗？”
“好！”
当那个小巧的银色戒指套上蕾蕾手指的一刻，蕾蕾把Robert拉了起来，两人相拥而吻。在墙后一直被妈妈按住的大果终于跳起来大叫：“Yay！萝卜头姐夫！”
