很喜欢Mary Oliver 的诗,喜欢大了就想把她的诗翻译成中文。
这一首,前写日子翻译的,现在一看怎么觉得标点符号全乱了。

算是英语学习。

 

Last Night the Rain Spoke To Me

Last night
the rain
spoke to me
slowly, saying,
what joy
to come falling
out of the brisk cloud,
to be happy again
in a new way
on the earth!

That’s what it said
as it dropped,
smelling of iron,
and vanished
like a dream of the ocean
into the branches
and the grass below.

Then it was over.
The sky cleared.
I was standing
under a tree.
The tree was a tree
with happy leaves,
and I was myself,
and there were stars in the sky
that were also themselves
at the moment,
at which moment

my right hand
was holding my left hand
which was holding the tree
which was filled with stars
and the soft rain—

imagine! imagine!
the long and wondrous journeys
still to be ours.

昨夜雨和我说话
      
昨夜
雨和我说话
它缓缓地告诉我,
从轻快的云层跌落下来
以另一种全新的形式出现在大地
再次感受幸福
是何等的快乐!

这是雨在下落时对我说的
它充满了的生铁的味道,
然后
像大海的一个梦,消失于树枝
和下面的草地。

然后,一切都结束了。
天晴了。
我站在一棵树下。
树是树,
一棵长满幸福的叶子的树,
我是我自己,
天空中挂满星星
那些星星也都是它们自己
在那个时刻,
那瞬间。

我的右手
握着我的左手,
我的左手
握着那棵树,
那树上挂满了星星,和柔柔的雨---

你想!你想啊!
这漫长而奇妙的旅途
将属于我们......
