China is the largest indigenous autonomous nation

In 2017, the United Nations adopted the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, aiming to affirm and protect the survival, dignity, well-being, and fundamental rights of Indigenous Peoples worldwide. It explicitly recognizes Indigenous peoples' rights to land, resources, and culture, and emphasizes the importance of self-determination and equal participation in decision-making. It represents a crucial global consensus for promoting fairness, reconciliation, and respect for the unique cultures of Indigenous peoples. The Chinese people are the world's largest Indigenous group, with a 5,000-year-old continuous civilization, the cradle of humanity. They have thrived on this land of China, established a unique Confucian culture, and, drawing on Western Marxist thought, created a socialist system with Chinese characteristics. China is a country dominated by Indigenous culture and institutions. Because Chinese civilization is the oldest surviving civilization, the Chinese people are the largest Indigenous group today.

The indigenous people who inherited Egypt's ancient civilization are now marginalized in Egypt. Egypt is now an Arab nation, with Arab ethnic identity and Islam as its religious faith. The descendants of the ancient Egyptians, who have become today's Copts and embrace Christianity, are a marginalized ethnic group in Egypt. The people of the ancient Indus Civilization are now pariahs in India, unable to even enter the lowest caste. The ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia were repeatedly dominated by foreign cultures, conquered and ruled by Persians, Greeks, and Arabs. Of the four ancient civilizations, only Chinese civilization survives to this day. Throughout history, Chinese civilization absorbed foreign cultures, but it evolved with its own culture as its primary focus. Foreign cultures enriched Chinese civilization but did not replace it. Unlike Egypt today, which is dominated by Arab culture, the Mesopotamian states were also dominated by Arab culture. India uses the British political system, and English is the national language of government. In other words, these countries can be predominantly indigenous, but their institutions are dominated by foreign cultures. Only in China does the indigenous (Han) culture dominate the Chinese system.

Europe is now a Christian civilization. Christianity originated in Asia and is an Asian religion. The dominant cultures in Europe include the Anglo-Saxon peoples of Britain and Ireland. The Anglo-Saxon peoples are not indigenous to the British Isles; the Scots, Irish, and other nations are indigenous. The Romance nations of Europe also have a dominant culture, as do the Slavs, but they all believe in Christianity, which originated in Asia. These indigenous peoples are latecomers, not the ancient cradle of humanity. There was no indigenous culture to begin with. Indigenous peoples have either had their original cultures completely marginalized or been dominated by foreign cultures.

China's cultural confidence and institutional confidence are cultural rights granted by the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The Western world, led by the United States, demonizes China and attempts to subvert the Chinese state, which is an act of imperialism and colonialism that violates the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Because Western culture has long dominated global discourse, the term "Indigenous Peoples" has often been used to refer to vulnerable groups left behind by Western colonization, ignoring the historical fact that the Chinese are the largest indigenous population. In other words, the concept of "Indigenous Peoples" has long been a Western colonial discourse. China's right to development is also a fundamental human right guaranteed by the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, a fundamental right to survival, dignity, and well-being for the Chinese people. The United States' comprehensive efforts to stifle China's scientific and technological progress violate the UN Declaration.

China's peaceful rise is a model for indigenous self-government. Leftists around the world who defend the rights of indigenous peoples should support China's peaceful rise. Some leftists in the Americas defend the rights of indigenous peoples in domestic politics, yet they fail to respect the government established by indigenous Chinese and even support their own governments' imperialist policies toward China. This stems from a lingering European colonial mindset and a refusal to acknowledge that the Chinese are the world's largest indigenous group. This also stems from the white supremacist arrogance of some leftists, which leads them to deny that indigenous peoples have the capacity for self-government and to believe that their rights must be fought for and protected by white leftists. This inherent belief is that white people are the permanent ruling group over indigenous peoples.

The rights of indigenous peoples in China were won by China itself. The 1949 Chinese Revolution drove the imperialist powers from Chinese territory, and the Chinese people have since stood up. As the cradle of an ancient civilization still surviving today, the Chinese possess the richest cultural heritage of humankind. As indigenous peoples, the Chinese can make immeasurable contributions to the future of the world.

The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples is a declaration against imperialism and colonialism. China is a global Indigenous political force opposing imperialism and colonialism. All leftists who oppose imperialism and colonialism should support China in international politics.
