Why are countries moving away from trading with the U.S?

(2025-07-20 05:55:21) 下一个

Q: Why are countries like Canada, China, India, and Japan moving away from trading with the U.S., and what does it mean for the future of U.S. trade dominance?

A:

None of the countries is moving away from trading with the US. It is the US's use of tariffs and sanctions that pushes these countries away from trading with the US. The first, second, and third responses of these countries, facing Trump’s tariffs, are attempts to persuade Trump to continue trading with them.

All these countries are complying with the rules set by the US in the world economic order. The US abuses its hegemonic power in the world economy, overdraws wealth from the world economy, and funds wars it keeps creating one after another, accumulating debt to an unbearable level. Then the US scapegoats others to justify its breach of the world order and goes to protectionism.

The US has abused its dominance by destroying its bases. Dominance works in globalization. There is no dominance in isolation. No country is threatening the US hegemony. It is the US that destroys its hegemony by going into isolationism. The US is digging its own tomb and jumping into the tomb. Hegemony works with restraint that keeps the exploitation under a tolerable level for others. Being too greedy will be punished by God.

Hegemony is not good for the world and for the US. The US hegemony should be gone for good.
