Now Japan takes the Taiwan issue as its own. There is a fundamental change in the character of the Taiwan issue. China will view Japan as reluctant to return Taiwan to China, breaching the Potsdam Declaration. The Taiwan issue becomes a legacy of the War of the Chinese People resisting Japanese aggression. China is legally entitled to attack Japan for its breach of the Potsdam Declaration, as a continuation of the War of the Chinese People resisting Japanese Aggression.

Japan has long supported the Taiwan separation movement. The Taiwan independent movement began with Lee Teng-hui, who was an officer of the Japanese Army during World War Two, when he was named as Iwasato Masao, a Japanese name. Japanese intervention in the Taiwan issue is a long-standing problem.

Lee Teng-hui identified himself as a Japanese since his childhood. He resumed his Chinese identity later after World War Two. He may have been Japanese all his life in his mind. He was royal to the Japanese emperor. It was a big mistake Taiwanese elected him as the first president.

Japan invaded Taiwan in 1874. Japan invaded China and annexed the Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan in 1895. Japan invaded China in 1931. Japan waged a total war, invading China in 1937. Now Japan says the war has not ended yet. So don’t be surprised if a war breaks out between China and Japan tomorrow.

Modern Japan is built on invading and exploiting China. Japan enshrined most of the war criminals who invaded China as its national heroes. If Japan continues provoking China, China will bomb Japan for sure. If China had adopted Western Democracy, it would have bombed Japan today. The present Chinese political system is too nice to Japan.
