With more and more Americans being vaccinated, American society is graduatly reopening.  But not all the businesses survived from the pandemic . According to American resturants association, more than 400k restarants all over the country have been permanently closed by the impact of the pandemic.

 

The vaccination in CT goes smoothly and efficiently. As other states, the first group of  people in CT got vaccination at the end of DEC, 2020, they were doctors and nurses. Given the limited vaccine doses, CT governor Lamont administraton set the vaccine  prioritization rule. The rule was based on works, ages and health conditions of people. Back then, teachers were not listed as the essential workers, only school nurses were listed in the same group of health care workers and got vaccinated in JAN-FEB of 2021.  Teachers and other school staffs are put behind. In a last month radio broadcast program, Governor and other health officials were invited to answer questions from listeners. A bounch of education-related listeners called in to express their desires of being vaccinated as early as possible. They expressed the grounds from their point of views. At that time, Governor praised the educators, he appreciated their dedication to students, but he said since the shortage of vaccines, teachers still can’t be vaccinated ahead of  essensial workers like restaurant workers and grocery store workers.

 

As time goes by, reopening school became the top priority in the whole socity reopening plan. more and more people admitted the bad outcome from school-closing. According to a national wide survey, in the past more than 6 months, the academy of American High school students who have been taking remote classes is in danger, they didn’t meet the academic standards they should do, the improvement is minor.

 

Pfizer and Moderna are the first 2 vaccines being approved and used. Both are two doses vaccines. I asked people already being vaccinated how did they feel. None of them said they got severe reactions, most of them got very mild side effects which were totally tolerable. They are people age over 65.  Last week, John& Johnson’s one shot vaccine was approved by FDA, It will help speed up the vaccination. I can’t wait to see schools go back to normal. Hopefully that can happen in Fall.

 

End of last month, governor Lamont’s team changed the rule of vaccine prioritization. The new rule is based on age, not by works. Also all the people working in school will be vaccinated since March 1^st. Same as other rules responsing to COVID-19 announced by Governor Lamont, I supported this new rule too. This Friday and next Friday are the days teachers and staffs getting their vaccination, all the students will do remote learning. I told my son at the dinner table, he said he knew. According to the district superintendent, the vaccination plan changed twice which caused a little bit chaos. Sicne there is not enough storage for Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, all the teachers will get John&Johnson’s one shot vaccine.

Wow，you are such a diligent writer! I must say your English writing improves a lot. If you don't mind my pointing out a few typos below: (I might not be right at the last sentence. But "being vaccinated" normally indicates that people are getting vaccine. )

I asked people already being vaccinated how did they feel= I asked people already vaccinated (another word= inoculated) how they felt.
