Fern Arable was eight years old, one day she saved a white runt piglet from her father’s axe and raised him on baby bottle. When he was one month old, he got sold to Fern’s uncle—Homer Zuckerman. Wilbur, who was the pig’s name, one day found a grey spider whose name was Charlotte, and they quickly became friends. He's found that she was a truthful loyal friend and even saved him from dying, so when she died a couple of months later, he saved her children gratefully. My favorite part was when Charlotte had a round egg sac, it was peach and puffy just like cotton candy… why do spiders have to die so soon? It's not fair! I learned about how to choose a good friend!
