皮皮蝦:【别人寄来的英文诗】

这是多年前本虾一位朋友抄给本蝦的英文诗。当时深受感动，也欣佩其对英文文字的掌控。现在谷歌出来，知道并非原创，但仍至为怀念那个青葱岁月。

 

注：对方并未说明此诗是谁创作，所以只能算是抄送。互联网上也未标明作者。

 

Friendship

May our friendship be not like the tides,
Tides rise,tides fall.
May it be like the ocean.
Whose face may show smile,frown,or anger,
But whose heart is at bottom unchanging.

May our friendship be not like the flower,
Flowers bloom,flower fade.
May it be like grass and trees,
Their leaves may wither,
But their roots live long.

May our friendship be not like the moon,
The moon waxes,it also wanes.
May it be like the stars.
They appear or do not appear in the sky,
But always exist with mysterious light.

 

 

有信友今天受此诗所激发，补写一段如下：  

May our friendship be not like a binary number, 

 

The binary number has to be hero, or zero. 

 

May they be like real numbers. 

 

Although two numbers may always in difference. 

 

They always can find infinite value in between.  

 

 

value 双义： 数值in context of Math,或价值观 in context of being's principle.
