这一篇来看看我喜欢的人文，自然景观，外加开普敦，顺序为
1. 南非西北部，Panorama Route的好山好水；
2. 西蒙镇看企鹅，参观国家植物园；
3. 开普敦。
下一篇应该是覆盖我们行程开始时的private tour。
照片的说明都是当年用英语在Google photo上留下的，再次说明一下。
我们自驾从Kruger NP 西北面的Phalaborwa Gate出来，headed to Panorama Route (Blyde river canyon）。给自己留了一天一夜时间看看南非西北部的好山好水，第二天中午再去机场还车飞往开普敦。
wiki上抄一段：The Panorama Route is a scenic road in South Africa connecting several cultural and natural points of interest. The route, steeped in the history of South Africa, is in Mpumalanga province, centred around the Blyde River Canyon, the world's third largest canyon.

短短五天自驾游结束了，意犹未尽。回到约翰内斯堡机场还车。
飞到开普敦就没有再租车。住在Holiday Inn Express，就在市中心的步行街上，走路可到大部分景点，长途汽车站和火车站。
从开普敦我们坐汽车去了郊区的植物园，坐火车Southern Line train去了Simon‘s town （最后一站）看企鹅。那火车最后一大段贴着海边开，景色美极了。

好喜欢这张照片，远处的桌山戴了一顶白云帽。由于云雾，我们上不了桌山，就在此看看远景也不错。

2.6 Simon‘s Town is famous for Penguin at Boulders Colony。有上千只非洲企鹅在这里栖息。我们去时正是mating season，放眼望去，一对对伴侣好亲热。

在开普敦住了三天，住在Holiday Inn Express Cape Town City Centre。因为不租车，旅馆的地理位置很重要。这个旅馆比美国的好很多，家具modern，床舒适，早餐丰富，出门就是市中心的步行街。第一天步行到码头和市里转了一圈；第二天是去上面写的Simon's Town 和植物园，第三天是晚上的飞机，白天去了博物馆和教堂，逛街。好像时间安排的不紧凑，可以去更多的地方，可能老公已经累了。
开普敦虽然是南非第二大城市，治安比北面第一大城市约翰内斯堡及周边好多了，没有看到那么多围墙上再加铁丝网的奇观。开普敦也是南非的首都之一，立法首都，国会及很多政府部门座落于此。气候也好，虽然四季分明但是温度变化没有那么大。每每旅行到比芝加哥气候好的地方，我们的神经都要被拨动一下， 来不来此地退休？

3.7 happy Xhosa women with their traditional costume and face-painting。这次南非行看到不少少数民族妇女，衣着，举止， 笑脸都透着幸福满满，我看到她们也觉得特别开心。

Company Gardens 是南非最早的garden，建于1965‘s, 当时是为了种植蔬菜。它离我们旅馆也很近，环境优美，free to public. The Company is short for the Dutch East Indian Company.

3.12 In Company's Gardens we saw at least three weddings. This group is Malays, originally brought into Cape Town as slave laborers along with the Indians.

3.14 South Africa national flower Protea 帝王花（Protea cynaroides）又名普蒂亚花，是南非共和国的国花。其植株寿命可达百年以上，是山龙眼科的代表植物之一。我们在飞机场还看到有人带此花回家。

3.23 市中心的步行街，我们旅馆下楼就是它，这街上还有一家中国餐馆。在中餐馆遇到一行中国旅游团的包桌，他们一天玩了很多地方，比我们更高效。

3.27 This altar in Groote Kerk is quite unique in its design, the Cape lions (now extinct) at the bottom and the anchor is the symbol of "the Good Hope Cape" where the dutch sailer decided this is where they would settle.

你有没有注意到这些荷兰历史建筑 Company's Gardens, 市中心的Dutch building，上面这个Dutch Church。
老公项目结束后立即开始和我旅游没有休整的时间，10天玩下来也挺累的，最后一天他宁可在旅馆休息，最后一天逛街都是我自己去的。所以也留下了不少遗憾。曾监禁前总统曼德拉的罗本岛监狱和印度洋与大西洋的交汇点好望角都没有去，那时旅游也没有把徒步或其它户外活动加进去。那里气候温暖，有山有水，文化多元，历史悠久，再去的话可以呆一个星期。
飞南非真是辛苦，在伦敦转机要等好多小时，原先计划去伦敦城里玩玩，结果伦敦当时下雪特别冷。到南非下飞机后人都要晕了。这也是我单程旅行最长的一次，比到新西兰还要多很多小时。倒时差好像很容易，玩起来就不困了。那么长距离长时间的旅途过去实在是后悔没有多玩玩。（叹气）当时假期不够多，还要留时间回国探亲。
南非是我们玩过的第二个非洲国家（第一个是埃及）。两个国家都非常值得去。
