Dad has been eating the brown rice I brought him and, with
his new FitBit, walking over 10,000 steps per day. His goal
is to get rid of all his drugs. I'm so happy--what a change
over one year!
With that encouraging thought and the morning wind at my
back, I hit the trail and headed toward the bay. The first 6
miles were under 9:00 min and the ITBS came upon me at
around mile 6.5. Last week it was mile 4. Was this a real
improvement? My left leg was weaker than the right. Many
things needed to be done.
I mostly walked the next 3.5 miles. I did try to run several
times only to stop after a couple of hundred yards each
time. So the last 2 miles' paces were 12:38 and 12:51. I'm
sure I have the endurance needed and, with these speeds,
I could still finish a marathon within 6 hrs.
Overall, I ran & walked 10.0 miles at 10:16/mile.
