切伤了手指（慎入）

现在在等涂在伤口上的胶水干透。

前一阵我把陶瓷刀尖chipped一块，今天切honeydew时碰到一块硬的地方，用左手按住刀背，离刀尖很近，切下去时，被chipped的地方一下子割了三个口子，血流不止，捏住手指好一阵才止了血，现在在等涂在伤口上的胶水干透。因为没等到完全止血就匆忙涂胶水，涂得太厚了。

Bottom line

• Your doctor’s approach is evidence-aligned: for superficial lacerations, using water (or saline) to clean the wound is appropriate and often preferred, rather than routinely using iodine.
• Iodine has antiseptic benefits, but also some risks to the healthy cells involved in healing. The clinical evidence does not clearly show that iodine improves outcomes for simple wounds over clean water.
• In some situations (e.g. deeper wounds, surgical settings, high-infection-risk wounds), judicious use of antiseptics (including low-concentration iodine) may be warranted — but that’s a different context.
