“Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils” is a wuxia novel by Jin Yong (Louis Cha). The story revolves around three central characters: Qiao Feng, the leader of the Beggar Clan; Duan Yu, a prince of Dali; and Xu Zhu, a Shaolin monk. The narrative is set during the reign of Emperor Zhe Zong. The novel was serialized between 1963 and 1966.

This version is not the best one. The versions from 2003 and 1997 are much better than this. I found it missing several scenes. 
1. When the female servants in Linjiu Palace were fighting with rebels, they even cut off the metal chain between the cliffs (this version missed this part) to prevent those coming into the building easily. 
2. During the way back to Linjiu Palace, the little monk even saved a girl who ran out for help. 
3. The little monk did not want the others to recognize him; he jumped over the cliff and put some mud over his face. 
So many important things are missing; some time is confusing.
