@weixin9270 拉辛尚未出軌背叛，檔期在即，另找人上去演，還好也成功了，但是劇情無法演出人之間相處的細節，像是拉辛是否花心、是否是容易移情別戀的人、女僕是否有野心會為求成功勾引別人老公等等。
但是這情形一開始就不對了，拉辛是看到女主美貌跟成就而追求，女主看到帥哥也動心，這一切就建立在膚淺的外在條件評估，當外在條件逝去，自然什麼都沒有。不只女生會遇到懷孕、生產、紅顏老去等等情況，如果她曾經迷戀的帥哥拉辛中年發福或是因過錯被國王懲罰失去宮廷作家身分窮困潦倒不再風度翩翩，那女生是否也不會變心，還是另找掌權作家求演出機會，那是不是又要給禮物，就像曾經也給侍衛禮物。女主原本是有真愛的，原本老公胖胖男是比較真實生活的真愛。

@weixin9270 其實若以現實世界來說,女主就是一個精神非常脆弱的,甚至有點認知能力不足或有偏差的人,
隨隨便便就跟不同男人上床,旁白還一直說她是那麼的單純?
那妓女立貞節牌坊很合理吧XD
她自己暈倒別人代替演出不是很正常嗎?難道劇組不用向觀眾負責任,世界都只應該以她為主為她服務?
她沒覺得對不起觀眾反而一副受害人心態是認知能力不足吧!
當然,這是電影而非真人真事,所以真正智商有問題的是編劇及導演.

SARAWAK. The film's production team actually built an entire village set in Malaysia: Malaysian iBan, Sibu, Sarawak, to bring the colonial backdrop to life. The attention to detail really transported me back in time!

@dialecticalmonist3405 well it was in the movie. Not sure if it was a real thing in real life, but it doesnt seem too far fetched. I have had a couple of 'sleeping dictionaries' (aka girlfriends who spoke a different language and helped me learn it).
