That’s why we have to stop looking at ppl (people) of God as “gods.” Solomon was still human in the flesh; God/Jesus always used regular ppl with flaws to do His will.

One detail you left out: After Bathsheba became prägnant, David gave Uriah some R and R to spend some time with his missus, but he did not have any sex with her out of compassion for his comrades still in battle.

After having watched some of this video, it seems to me that Solomon nearly put himself above the Lord, by glorifying himself with such a grand palace and thinking that he knew it all. He should have been much more humble, but alas, he was not. Lessons should be taken from this story.
Thank you for this video It gave me more meaning to the story of Solomon ...God bless you . Yeah Solomon had wisdom but yet he had no knowledge of controlling temptations he was going through. flesh is indeed weak; it cannot profit you nothing . But the Spirit that dwells in us is strong God has given us many ways to escape temptation. Thank God for forgiveness. Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Amen

The statement "That’s why we have to stop looking at people of God as 'gods'. Solomon was still human in the flesh. God/Jesus always used regular people with flaws to do His will" highlights several important points about the nature of religious figures and the way they are perceived:
Humanity of Religious Figures: The statement emphasizes that people of God, including notable biblical figures like Solomon, were still human. Despite their significant roles and the wisdom or power they may have exhibited, they were not divine beings. They experienced human struggles, made mistakes, and had flaws just like anyone else.
Avoiding Idolatry: By cautioning against viewing religious figures as "gods," the statement warns against idolatry. It reminds believers to respect and learn from these figures without elevating them to a divine status. This helps maintain the focus on God as the central figure of worship.
God's Use of Imperfect People: The reference to Solomon and other biblical characters underscores a recurring theme in religious texts: God often chooses ordinary, flawed individuals to fulfill His purposes. This demonstrates that divine work is not limited to the perfect or the powerful but is accessible to anyone willing to follow God's guidance.
Relatability and Inspiration: Recognizing that revered religious figures were human can make their stories more relatable and inspirational. It shows that despite personal weaknesses and failures, they achieved great things through their faith and obedience to God. This can encourage believers that they too can be instruments of God's will.
Focus on God's Power: The statement redirects attention to God's power and grace. The achievements of figures like Solomon are ultimately attributed to God's intervention and support, not to the individuals' inherent superiority. This perspective fosters humility and gratitude among believers.
In summary, the statement encourages a balanced view of religious figures, recognizing their human nature and flaws while appreciating their roles in divine narratives. It calls for a focus on God's power and the inspirational message that ordinary people can be used for extraordinary purposes.
