"Great actors in this film. Ben Kingsley had his son, Ferdinand, in it who played a Druid.Kevin McKidd , who played Wulfila, was also Lucius Vorenus in the excellentHBO/BBC Series ROME. The actor who played Nestor also played Batiatus in the series Spartacus.Alexander Siddig played the envoy from the Eastern Empire also was Doctor Bashir on Deep Space nine."
"Had never heard of this motion picture until I found it here on YT. I enjoyed this film. I felt that Colin Firth was miscast. Found it hard to take my eyes off of Mira, which I believe was the idea. The film was well-made and it moved along at a nice clip. Rarely a dull moment. The fighting was quite well choreographed. Decent special effects. Fine direction, editing, and cinematography. Score wasn't bad either."
"So, King Arthur, Excalibur, Merlin, Guinevere, with a Roman Empire spin, and including Persia. Which one is Lancelot and which one is Gawain? It's really not that good, but it's entertaining and quite fun. Lots of good talent with Ben Kingsley and Colin Firth, but I don't recognize the girl. Cute."

The names of Aurelius, Vortgyn, Ambrosius, Caliburn have long been part of the Arthurian stories going back to the first chronicles to mention the name. Aurelius has often been put forward as an "historical " Arthur and it's good to see that acknowledged here. It's also great to see Caliburn as that was the name of Arthur's sword in the first stories. Clever how they made Caliburn become Excalibur. And the last Roman emperor as Uther Pendragon and Ygraine spelled right. Puts tears in the eyes of this old student of Arthurian romance.
