karen's vocals are so intriguing to me. they are not only charismatic and musically competent but also something haunting and mysterious as well. the latter element may be due to her untimely death and the irony contained in some of the lyrics (despite the fact that she never wrote those) but i'm not quite sure. i mean, if she were alive today i would certainly still consider her one of the great singers of all times, of course.
