Ben Affleck's reps came out with a fierce denial Wednesday that the star is rebounding from his split with Jennifer Garner with his children's nanny.

 

 
 
Us Weekly says otherwise in a "bombshell report" which asserts that Affleck, 42, is dating Christine Ouzounian, 28, who worked for his family this spring, the New York Daily News said.

 

 

 
 
"Garbage" and "lies," Affleck's rep told the Daily News in a statement.

 

 

 
 
 
But Us apparently has its sources -- of course it does -- who bolster the popular narrative that there's more to the Affleck-Garner breakup than irreconcilable differences.

 

 

 
 
Us says the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Star" and Ouzounian began to get close when he was in the midst of a 10-month separation from Garner.

 

 

 
 
The father of three and his employee "would hang out without the kids and get flirty."

 

 

 
 
Garner, 43, apparently wasn't happy to learn about whatever was brewing between her estranged A-list husband and Ouzounian and fired the nanny.

 

 

 
 
Garner and Affleck announced they were divorcing last month, shortly after their 10th wedding anniversary.

 

But they continue to co-parent their three kids, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. They've also been spotted spending quality time with their kids in Atlanta, where Garner is on location for the film "Miracles from Heaven." And, they've been photographed wearing their wedding bands.

Us says Affleck also has been putting in time with Ouzounian, hanging out with her at his Los Angeles rental home as recently as July 17, according to a pal of Ouzounian, a former sorority girl who also worked as a nanny for Neil Patrick Harris, Affleck's "Gone Girl" co-star.

Ouzounian's pal says it's pretty serious between Affleck and her friend. Not only does Affleck "really, really like her," but Ouzounian is saying "this is true love."

That remains to be seen, given the other popular narrative that the rebound relationship usually isn't one that lasts.
