成事在人 (Invictus)

金融时报只给《成事在人》这个电影一个星，让我和儿子差点错过这个好片子。

他们评价说这个电影情节太可预测，了无新意。

其实，曼德拉这样一个家喻户晓的人物，其故事早已在数本书里讲述过，他还有什么事让人不可预测呢。这个片子还不错，就在于它能让这个平凡的故事生动起来，让人想一些事。而伟大的摩根佛里曼能让人们逐渐忘掉他这个演员，看到曼德拉这个外表有些迟缓羸弱的人其坚强的内心和超群的智慧。这个片子讲的是纯粹西方式的领袖才能，情感智商。

电影里的橄榄球比赛，本身就值得一看。发明这项运动的是英国人，可以让人看到这个民族性格粗犷的一面。法国人就没有这样“野蛮”的运动。大概这就是英国人当年能驰骋天下的原因吧。

"Invictus" is a short poem by the English poet William Ernest Henley (1849–1903). It was written in 1875 and first published in 1888[1] in Henley's Book of Verses, where it was the fourth in a series of poems entitled Life and Death (Echoes).[2]

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
