Lotus roots red, fragrance most gone, and jade bamboo mat feels the autumn,
Gently un-tie and hold up the rim of the silk skirt, 
And board alone on the mulan-wood-boat.
In the clouds, who sends here the silk letter?
When grey geese in lines fly back,
The moonlight fully covers the western tower.

Flowers are self-fading and falling and water is self-flowing, 
One kind of lovesickness, 
Two places of the useless worries.
This feeling has no way to be eliminated, 
Just coming down the eyebrows, 
But going up into the heart.

红藕香残玉簟秋，轻解罗裳，独上兰舟。
云中谁寄锦书来？雁字回时，月满西楼。

花自飘零水自流，一种相思，两处闲愁。
此情无计可消除，才下眉头，却上心头。
