也是一个爱动手修理、做东西的书呆子
修理：
1. 修过六七辆汽车和一辆摩托车
1976 Fiat 128 （手动）, 闸液赶气泡（with 一日本朋友），消音器 （把右边两轮开到curb上，钻到车底），clamp上的。买时6万miles,无闸，买时$60, 卖时$220.
1978（？） Ford Maverick（台湾同学的），front panel 夜间不亮， 修好了（不是保险丝，是用电线连起来的。
1981 Datsun 310 （手动）, 换离合器（左前轮附近的body上有一洞，easy reach), 手磨前闸disk. 买时6万miles，$1000, insurance 赔$1000（被车追尾）, 最后送给了西班牙同学。
1982 Datsun 210, 换发电机，给空调充冷媒。
1983 Saab 900 turbo， 换闸管(是reinforced rubber管， 不是铁管，非常难入手，太挤。
1984 Nissan Maxima，换高压圈，汽油喷嘴，发电机，fuel filter ， 放倒挡时后灯不亮，到车底接一根线，引到车内接到一个微动开关在倒档位置上解决的， （93k 买的，230k 报废的），有三年（one way 84 miles 去工作）在highway抛锚五次（也没手机，当时已经普及了，但是穷，不想花那钱），其中一次是高压圈，当时自己判断出来的，走路到一local parts store, 他们order，等到下午才来，没吃中午饭，拿到后走回来，自己装上的， 去工作的。（93k 买的，230k 报废的）
1990 Toyota Camry LE（手动），水箱，distribution cap, 雨刷电机，雨刷开关（用一微动开关装在应该的位置上解决的），发电机两次。（97k买的， 230k $50卖的）。Camry 是我开过的车里最好的。
1976 Honda 360 motorcycle, timing chain broken, 把valves打弯，在宿舍里，把engine 拆下，把head block 送到车行他们把valve 装上，自己装回，再装好timing chain才工作。
火花塞，机油，空气过滤器，闸皮，闸靴 都是自己换的。

修的车都是在80，90和00年代修的，没留下照片，甚是遗憾。来美国这麽多年，都开的是旧车，开的最新的车是2015年得到儿子开了15K迈2014的车。

2. 修过冰箱
Kenmore brand, 冻箱工作，冰箱不工作，判断出是Damper 坏了，用有机玻璃磨出了一个（下行左2），装的dumper里，冰箱就工作了，没花一分钱。
