Beijing is better now than ever. People are spending. No sign of depression. The average annual salary of Beijng people is around 54000 yuan. In the first 3 month of this year, people in Beijing bought 140000 cars (China is the number one car buyer now). Though every weekday only 4/5 cars are allowed to be on the road. There are much fewer bicycles on the road now compared with the visit 4 years ago. The public transportation is very good: you could go to almost everywhere in Beijing by bus (starting fare is 40 fen, with a sophisticated and smart card bus pass). Seniors (over 65 years old) are free for the bus.
