On March 27th, I went to the National Zoo at Washington DC. I wanted to see the Pandas at the first place. On our way to the Pandas Place, we saw some other animals, such as ox, zebras, American bisons and elephants. Finally we got to the pandas place.

There are totally 4 pandas living there. We saw three of them. Baobao was the first one. He is 3 years' old and very cute, gaubling bamboos all the time. He got a little annoyed by the tourist taking pictures and flash shining at him, so he walked a few steps away and turned his back at us. He burped and yarned. I thought he is still so cute. The next one was Meixiong. We guess she was the mom and used to the passionate tourists. Unlike the Baobao, she didn't mind us at all, enjoying her dinner all the time. The third is Tiantian, he is eating too. So we guess it must be their dinner time then. Pandas eat 20-40 pounds of bamboo each day. Wow, it is a lot! On the way out, it is a monitoring room. A zoo keeper is on duty watching all the panda hut on screens. We saw one is sleeping I guess it must be Beibei. I am so excited seeing all of them.

Leaving panda place, next place we visited was the bird kindom. I tried to feed some fresh grass to the ostrich, but he wouldn't go for it. I was astonished at the herd of flamingo.

At the end we were very tired, but see all these animals especially pandas make it all worth it.
