情人节就要来到，先祝大家“情人节快乐”！

一群专业人士问一群4到8岁的孩子“爱是什么？” 孩子们的回答远比大人想象的要宽广和深远的多。以下是他们的回答： 

“当我奶奶得了关节炎，她无法弯腰涂脚指甲油，我爷爷总为她涂，尽管爷爷手也有关节炎。”Rebecca- 8岁

“当某人爱你时，他们叫你名字的方式是不同的。你可以感觉到你的名字在他们嘴里很平安。”Billy - 4岁

“爱是当你累了时，能让你笑的人。” Terri–4岁

“爱是当我妈咪为爹地作咖啡时，她先尝一小口，确保味道OK时，才给爹地。”Danny–7岁

“爱是不断地亲吻。吻累了，还愿意呆在一起聊天。我妈妈和爸爸就是这样，他们亲吻时很专注。”Emily–8岁

“我妈咪爱我甚过任何人。因为只有妈咪在我睡觉时亲吻我。”Clare–6岁

“爱是我妈妈给我爸爸最好的一块鸡肉。”  Elaine - 5岁

“爱是我妈妈看到我爸爸汗流浃背，味道不佳时，仍然说他比演员罗伯特鲁夫得还要英俊。” Chris -7岁

“我知道我姐姐爱我，她给了我她所有的旧衣服，而不得不出门买新衣服。” Lauren – 4岁

“当你爱上某个人时，你的睫毛忽上忽下，小星星们从你里面闪出来。”（好棒的想象力）Karen – 7岁

“除非你真正有爱，要不就不用说“我爱你”。但是若你有爱，你应该多说“我爱你”。因人是健忘的。Jessica – 8岁

最后一条：

胜出者是一位4岁的孩子，他的邻居是一个年长的，刚失去老伴的老人。这个孩子看到老人在哭，他到老人的院子里，爬到他的膝盖上，坐在那儿。他妈妈问他，“你对邻居说了什么？”小男孩说：“没说什么，我只是帮助他哭而已。”

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?' The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'  Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different.

You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'  Billy - age 4

'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.'  Terri - age 4

'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.'  Danny - age 7

'Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mom my and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss' Emily - age 8

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.'  Bobby - age 7 (Wow! - It's God's Love)

'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate,'

Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.'  Noelle - age 7

'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.' Tommy - age 6

'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.'  Cindy - age 8

'My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.'  Clare - age 6

'Love is when Mom my gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.'  Elaine-age 5

'Love is when Mom my sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.'  Chris - age 7

'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.'  Lauren –age 4

'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image)  Karen - age 7

'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.'  Jessica - age 8

And the final one

The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.

When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said,

'Nothing, I just helped him cry'
