It's a bit embassing for someone else to remind you of today being the 5th wedding anniversary, but luckily this someone happens to be my beloved husband. Apart the Pacific Ocean sets us for the time being, the special day belongs to us and is worth celebrating.
Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have just celebrated their 60th anniversary on Nov 20. "They have to live more than others in the full light of publicity."
Short and private as it is, our anniversary is a milestone, at least for me.
The five years is not always a bed of roses. We had our moments at times, nevertheless there is not a shadow of doubt that this marriage is better than I could have ever expected. I learnt and am still learning how to be a good wife, a whole-hearted supporter, a truth-telling critic, a compromiser who knows where to draw a line.
Special thanks should be given to the other half of the marriage who has always been there for me. May health and happiness be with us for the years to come.
