Jason’s big move - 顺顺的一大进步

Jason came back from school with a phone number on a paper. He said this is the number of his friend xxxx and he couldn’t wait to call him. He dialed the number by himself and talked to his friend (a boy) for a minute and hanged up. They talked in French. I didn’t understand what they were talking about but I was very happy to see Jason’s progress. This was the first time he called his friend by himself.

The second day before supper, a girl called. When I answered the phone, she just hesitated to say whom she was looking for (probably she was surprised to hear my voice not Jason’s). I felt strange to hear a little girl’s voice at the beginning, then realized it could be for Jason, so I passed to the phone to Jason. Jason was vey happy and mentioned the girl’s name immediately. This time they talked for quite long time, around 20 minutes. Again, I can’t understand what they were talking about as they spoke French. Just hear Jason mentioned “ma mama….mon papa…. Ma baby (sister)…..” seems she told the girl everything about us. After he hanged up, I asked Jason what the girl said. He said the girl said: “I have to go…” then byebye to him…. I asked him how the girl knew our phone number. He thought for a while and said she just knew. I believe Jason told her but seems Jason couldn’t explain to me well.

Not sure how Jason knew to exchange phone numbers among his classmates or friends. Anyway knowing how to dial the phone number and talk to his friends by phone is a big change for him. I’m so happy to see this. Is this a milestone in his life?

As for Janie, her recent big change is to say: “bu2 yao4” (don’t want) in Chinese. Initially she always says “hai2 yao4!” (want more) loudly. Everytime she says the word, I’m vey happy. As I know she won’t be hungry in daycare.:)

顺顺从学校回来后就从书包里掏出一张纸，纸上写着一个电话号码，然后迫不及待就要打电话。我问他要打给谁，他说是他的朋友（一个男孩）。拨电话时还让我确认一下拨得对不对。然后就听他说找xxx，因他说法语，我也听不懂他到底讲了什么。不过他们只说了很短的时间就断了。我问他什么意思，他说他让他的朋友明天帮他带什么东西到学校。

第二天晚饭时，有个奶声奶气的女孩打来电话，刚开始时我以为打错了，因她也不提找谁，很快反应可能是找顺顺，便把电话给他。果不其然，顺顺接过后就说出了女孩的名字，然后俩人就聊了起来。这一聊时间可就长了，足足有２０分钟时间。因还是讲法语，具体内容不知，就听顺顺一会儿说“我妈妈。。。”，一会儿说“我爸爸。。。”一会儿有提“我babay（这是说妹妹）。。。”估计把我们家全说遍了。后来他撂了电话，我问他那个女孩跟他说什么啦。“她说她要走了，就跟我说‘byebye'”。然后他就说不清了。

我猜可能学校老师教他们怎么交换电话，怎么打电话啦？不管怎么样，他知道主动打电话交流确实是他的一大进步，也算是人生的一个里程碑吧，我当然很为他高兴。当然对女孩给他打电话更是暗暗窃喜，看来顺顺的女孩缘还不错。：）

还要提一下妮妮的进步：妮妮最近开始说“不要。” 以前总说：“还要！”每次听她这么一喊，我就很开心，我知道她在托儿所不会饿着了。
