歌曲赏析

　　歌词里歌颂的生命万岁是指自由的意思，生命不是单纯活着，而是自由的有意义的活着。歌名是西班牙语，也是一句名句。
　　从歌词中可看出，这首歌写的人物是路易十六，其背景是法国大革命前后。“Revolutionaries wait for my head on a silver plate”这句歌词可以明显看出，还有一句形容法国大革命的那股革命风暴的就是“It was a wicked and wild wind”。该段最后一句“Oh who would ever want to be king?”，我想算得上是对路易十六的同情吧。
　　虽说路易十六和玛丽王后毫不在乎法国人民的生活，对政治的漠不关心很不负责任，但我觉得这更像是命运和他们玩了一个游戏，而且他们输了。
　　玛丽原本只是一个什么都不懂，天真的小公主，加上她本身并不像维多利亚一样那么灵敏，她更像一个邻家女孩，完全不适合宫廷里的明争暗斗。若她不是一个公主，没有嫁入法国王室，只是一个普通的女孩，那么她很有可能过着美好的生活，活泼待人真诚热情的她也会受到人们的喜爱，或许还会因她在艺术方面的领悟能力而成为一名艺术家。但是她不是，命运无情的把她塞入一个公主的身份里，让她接受她根本无法承受的厚礼——成为王后。她不懂政治，她不知道她身边的最亲近的朋友是为什么和她亲近，她是一个轻而易举就能被人利用，过后还全然不知发生过了什么的女孩，她怎么能当王后？而且她也不知道到王后是什么，只知道当上了王后就可以享受荣华富贵，没有人告诉过她王后的责任是什么。
　　路易十六也不是一个当国王的料，反而是他的那些可怕的兄弟更适合当国王（真不知道他这个王位怎么混来的！）。不可不承认，他的确是一个好丈夫，他总是毫无怨言地为玛丽偿还巨额债务，如果他是一个普通人，人们谈论的则是他对玛丽的好，而不是他的笨拙。

　　在2009年2月9日揭晓的第51届格莱美音乐奖中，酷玩【Coldplay】荣获最佳单曲【Viva la Vida】奖、最佳流行组合大奖和最佳摇滚专辑奖。

 专辑创作背景　　专辑的名字来自一位墨西哥艺术家Frido Kahlo给自己的一幅画的命名。
　　在这张专辑制作的早期，三名乐队成员各自把对新专辑的想法都写在一张白板上，每一个人的想法都很激进前卫，最后，Chris Martin收回了他的看法。他希望以后有机会再游说他们。"我听到波诺(Bono Vox,U2乐队主唱)曾经说过一句话，'乐队不应该为钱而分裂，他们应该只为了歌曲名单而分裂，'”他说，在这一点上，没有什么比这更有针对性了。”
　　这张专辑唱片是Coldplay第一次同著名英国音乐制作布莱恩.伊诺（Brian Eno）合作，从而使专辑的风格同前三张有明显的不同，在保留Coldplay原有的舒缓、激情又略带伤感风格的同时，又增加了音乐的气势，更加粗犷和鲜明，并揉入了拉丁乐风格大多数听起来令人耳目一新， 完全不同于他们以往的热门歌曲“Clocks”和“Speed Of Sound”。主唱Chris Martin说，这是受了他们在拉美巡演的影响。

　　《自由引导人民》，（同名专辑封面） 本画取材于1830年法国的七月革命事件。1830年7月26日，国王查理十世取消议会，巴黎市民纷纷起义。27至29日为推翻波旁王朝，与保皇党展开了战斗，并占领了王宫，在历史上称为"光荣的三天"。在这次战斗中，一位名叫克拉拉·莱辛的姑娘首先在街垒上举起了象征法兰西共和制的三色旗；少年阿莱尔把这面旗帜插到巴黎圣母院旁的一座桥头时，中弹倒下。画家德拉克洛瓦目击了这一悲壮激烈的景象，又义愤填膺，决心为之画一幅画作为永久的纪念。
