18. 上帝对人类以罪孽掩盖真理, 所做出的违反天伦天理的丑行, 正以天诛的方式自上而下显现出来,
19. 因为上帝已经把自己简单明了地告之于世(他/她们).
20. 既然自从造天地起, 上帝就已经把自己无法观见的特性 -- 他永恒的能力和神性 -- 清清楚楚地让大家, 通过他作造的万事万物, 看到, 理解 和 明了. 人类对此无任何借口可以假借.
21. 而尽管他/她们知道上帝, 他/她们还是既不荣耀他, 也不对他/她心存感激, 却任由自己的思想变得徒劳无益, 愚钝的心灵变得暗然无光.
22. 尽管他/她们自栩智慧不凡, 其实却愚蠢之极, 竟然会以上帝永恒, 至高无上的荣耀去 23 换取廉价的, 模拟会死的人, 鸟, 兽, 以至小爬虫, 而制作的种种像体.
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles爬虫.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
24. 因此上帝就干脆把他/她们遗弃給, 他/她们因自己心灵中的罪恶追求, 而通过相互间身体上的倒行逆施, 所行出的淫乱肮脏.
25. 他/她们以上帝的真理换取谎言, 崇拜并服侍造出的东西, 却不是造物主本身 -- 那永远被称颂着的, 阿门.
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion 堕落, 颠倒.
26. 为此, 上帝把他/她们甩給了耻辱的情欲. 以至于他们的女人都把原本正当自然的关系变成了不正当, 不自然的关系.
27. 同样, 男人们也放弃了与女人之间自然的关系, 以贪婪的色欲灼烧着彼此. 男人与其他男人一起淫荡不羁, 自做自受着对他们逆行的惩罚.
28. 更有甚者, 他/她们既然对上帝的教悔孰视无睹, 上帝便给予他/她们一个沉沦的头脑, 做着他/她们本不该做的事情.
29. 他/她们被各样的 罪, 恶, 贪, 堕 填充, 满怀着 妒忌, 谋害, 争斗, 欺诈 和 怨恨. 他/她们在 搬弄是非,
30. 诽谤中伤, 痛恨上帝, 横蛮无礼, 狂妄自大, 并且 夸夸其谈. 他/她们做孽有术; 不尊从父母;
28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice怨恨. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
31. 他/她们麻木不仁, 无信无义, 心如铁石, 残忍暴虐.
32. 尽管他/她们悉知上帝正义的意旨, 告知着: 行此道者, 必死无余; 他/她们却不仅依然故我, 自行其事, 而且还特别与其他/她专行此道者一起, 结党营私, 粇瀣一气.
