I want to write down the cute things my son did at daycare before I forgot. My son is 14 month old now.
Almost everyday the caregivers at the daycare tell me how cute Q Bao is.
One day when I went to pick up my son, Susie, one of Q Bao’s caregiver, told me that one baby was crying and she told Q Bao to fetch a ball for that baby. Q Bao was on a walker at that time. He looked around and could not find one. So he picked up a toy on the walker, scoot towards that baby, and gave it to him. Susie then went on telling me another cute incident of Q Bao of that day. She said when Q Bao was standing outside the exsaucer, he played hide and seek for the little baby inside the exsaucer by hiding then revealing his face behind a mirror attached to the saucer. Q Bao laughed out loud while he was doing this again and again.
Q Bao loves to babble
Q Bao is quite a talker even when he was only a few months old. He talks to toys, to books, to us….One day, the caregiver told me that QBao and Rainy were both on highchair eating. Then suddenly Q Bao started talking to rainy as if it was a real conversation. Q Bao is quite expressive vocally. When other babies took away his toys, he expressed protest through babbling. When he is excited, he babbles a lot too.
Q Bao loves color blue
At home he always prefers blue toys. One day the caregiver told me that Q Bao was holding one ball on each hand. When another baby crawled towards him, he offered the baby the non-blue ball and he kept the blue one. But the other baby tried to grab the blue one. QBao wouldn’t let her. The caregiver thought it was so funny. Q Bao drinks more milk from blue cup than from the cup of other color.
Q Bao loves to play with balls
He loves throwing the ball away then chasing it. He can do this for quite some time without tiring of it. One day the caregiver told me that Q Bao was playing his ball on the floor and another baby was nearby in the bouncer. This baby laughed out loud watching Q Bao chasing his ball. At the beginning the caregiver did not knowwhat is going on there and why the baby suddenly began to laugh. Once she realized it, she thought it was quite funny.
Q Bao loves to play with other babies
Very often caregivers told me Q Bao was playing with this baby or that baby. When we drop off Q Bao, we see babies crawl towards him and seem to be glad to see him. When we pick him up, we sometimes see his playmate looking sad. It is really interesting. We often think baby so young does not have the need for socializing. Apparently it is not true.
