independence day celebration

this was the first independence day for my girl. she woke up early and fussed for milk as usual. after nursing, i put her back to her crib, thinking to have more sleep since it was only 7am.

she played quietly for a while then started to shout. i was too lazy to wake up, and asked my lg to check what happened.

he went to the baby and suddenly he said "there are lots of stool on her bed!" immediately i said "silly jokes".

but his serious face told me he was not joking. sigh, when i stood next to the crib, i saw one innocent looking baby sitting on her bed, with her diaper lying next to her, lots of stool all over the places, and the first thing i checked was her mouth. oh, yes, there were some on her lips. i screamed and baby was actually smilling back.

lg was surprised for her smiles and found that funny but i could see her fear in her eyes. she was just trying to hide her guilt and fear by smilling. i quickly comfort and assure her everything will be fine and i am going to clean her up.

she was still nervous when i cleaned her in he bath tub. but soon after the water was filled, she started to play and forgot about the incident.

i didn't expect a 9m old baby could fake a smile to hide fear. she sure is a big girl now.

and that was her first independence day celebration. i sure will tell her this when she grows up.
