Tissue Harmonic Imaging

In Tissue Harmonic Imaging the frequencies generated by tissue are received and processed by the system to improve contrast resolution, decrease noise and increase border delineation.

This course describes how harmonic frequencies are generated and processed to improve image quality.

Upon completion of this course the participant will understand the fundamental principles of Tissue Harmonic Imaging. The participant will be able to explain how this processing technique affects image quality and know when to utilize the technique in clinical ultrasound.
