I Just Cannot Escape From Statistics

Statistics is just like that, it is a summary conclusion drawn from a big enough sample.In the Spring of this year, I bought four condos in Central Florida. I knew the statistics said that the metro was at 28% vacant for rentals.One unit was quickly rented out. After I dropped the rent a little, the second unit was rented out.The third unit was slow, and I had to replace a old a/c unit. But it got rented out anyway.But the last one just sits empty. I asked PM why, she said maybe we should replace the carpet. So I repalced the carpet.In August, I received an email from her, she proclaims: I've secured a tenant for the last unit!! Move-in date 8/14! All rented!The she emailed me days later: Sorry to say Tenant has backed out of property. Found 2 bedroom. Unit still up for rent.I just cannot beat the statistics!It is still vacant right now. It becomes part of the statistics.
