问两个英语单词

1、辞职，除了resign还用什么？我听同事说好像defender，但是找了半天好像没有这个意思。

花花：surrender(两个音差得挺多的，我的听力这么差?^^|)

lyylhw和西风雅雅说是tender，字典中说 to present formally for acceptance; make formal offer of: to tender one's resignation.

2、拿到两个offer，第二个offer薪水比第一个高，于是第一家公司出相同的薪水聘请。这个用一个单词怎么说？

如果原来的公司也出相同的薪水，也是这个单词吗？

顺便看了一篇文章，说最好不要接收原公司的counteroffer，同时找借口最好不要说money 而是说："It is a career opportunity I can not pass by."
