The 7 Ups

 

1.    Wake Up!!

Decide to have a good day.

“This is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and he glad in it.”

Psalms 118:24 (诗篇118:24)

“这是耶和华所定的日子, 我们在其中要高兴欢喜”

 

2.    Dress Up!!

The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.

A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

“The Lord does not look at the things man looks at outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 (撒母耳记上)

“…因为耶和华不象人看人, 人是看外貌, 耶和华是看内心”

 

3.    Shut Up!!

Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so he must have meant foe us to do twice as much listening as talking.

“He who guards his lips guards his soul” Proverbs 13:3 (箴言13:3)

“谨守口的, 得保生命; 大张嘴的, 必致败亡”

 

4.    Stand Up!!

…for what you believe in, Stand for something or you will fall for anything.

“Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good…”

Galatians 6:9-10 (加拉太书 6:9-10)

“我们行善, 不可丧志; 若不灰心, 到了时候, 就要收成.  所以有了机会, 就当向众人行善;才向信徒一家的人更当如此.”

 

5.    Look Up!!

…to the Lord.

“I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 (腓立比书4:13)

“我靠着那加给我力量的, 凡是都能作.”

 

6.    Reach Up!!

…for something higher.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto our own understanding.  In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path. Proverbs 3: 5-6 (箴言 3:5-6)

“你要专心仰赖耶和华, 不可倚靠自己的聪明.  在你一切所行的事上, 都要认定他, 他必指引你的路.”

 

7.   Lift Up!!

…your prayers.

“Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVEYTHING.” Philippians 4:6 (腓立比书4:6)

“应当一无挂虑, 只要凡事藉着祷告, 祈求和感谢, 将你们所要的告诉神”
