美剧Mad Men中口语表达用语汇集

断断续续地看着，记着，现在整理在此，有时间接着看，接着补充。有些是很常用的，或许我们不习惯说，或想不起来说，或已经会说的，我们一起加强一下。 

Roger的母亲90多岁去世了。在追忆会上有个老太太的发言(No.1). It is a very touching tribute：

11. brain and beauty(所谓的“有胸有脑”)

13. I don't want to take up more of your previous time. 

14. You can not let it erode your confidence. 

15. This is the way it ends. It is going to be so much easy for both of us.

16. break a leg (meaning "Good luck", "have a great show")

17. Life, its sweetness never ends.

18. You picked him over me. (用一个介词over)

19. Don't cry over the fish in the sea. (There are plenty more fish in the sea.) 

20. There's no small feat.

21. He is taking up too much space, in your life, maybe in your heart.

22. It is not up for debate.(不要争了，就这样定了)

23. You are so beautiful. You are truly magnetic.

回复“7grizzly": yes, it is from Shakespeare. I can tell that you love philosophy, both Chinese and foreign. I know little though. Epictetus is an exponent of Stocisim(just googled it), and you wrote "your grandma is stoic". You must read extensivly. 向你学习， I mean it (or I mean every bit of it,:-). Thank you!
