鱼骨在哈特拉斯的波涛中行走。

还有其他迹象

死亡引诱我们，在水中，引诱我们，

在陆地：松林深处，

一条舒展开的棉口蛇在苔藓上翻滚，

在污浊的空气中昂首。

其实难以承受的，是诞生，不是死亡，

我知道。我也在那里蜕过一层皮。

    That Death wooed us, by water, wooed us

    By land: among the pines

    An uncurled cottonmouth that rolled on moss

    Reared in the polluted air.

    Birth, not death, is the hard loss.
