Evan Watching out the Calories

One day we were driving down the road going to Karate.  Evan was in the backseat eating a snack when out of the blue he asked "How many calories does this have'"?  To say I was surprised by his question was an understatement.  Not only did I not know he knows the word "calorie", but he is by far the skinniest person in our family. We sometimes joke that he is so "bony" that it actually hurts when he sits on your lap.

"Why do you want to know about the calories?" I asked.

"Because I don't want to get fat." he replied.

Apparently he had been learning about foods and food groups in school and this was starting to rub off.  That's good to hear, but still a little surprising coming from Evan.
