In group time today, we pretended that we were star gazing. Each child lay down on their back and looked up at the “sky”. After gazing for a little while, the teacher asked the children to pick a “star” to make a wish on. The teacher then asked each child what their one wish would be.
Tariq – “I wish for a lot of babies when I get big up to the ceiling.”
Alyssa – “A little sister and to grow up.”

During the afternoon free choice, the teacher noticed Olivia is playing with some friends in the dramatic play area. She walked over and listened to their conversation.
Olivia – Jessica, the plates need to be on the table, here.
Jessica – Yeah, on the table with the cups and spoons.
Alyssa – We need to get the babies in the crib for nap time, ok?
Jessica – Oh, the babies.
Olivia – The babies need to sleep because Jessica and me are setting the table.
Jessica – Here, the plate and cup.
Alyssa – Here is where we put the babies and the table is set for dinner.
Olivia – Yeah the dinner we have McDonalds with cheese burger and fries.
Jessica – I want the fries and burger.
Alyssa- Ok, you can have it on the blue plate. I want the red plate.
