3 C's of life: choices, chances, and changes.
Palantir (PLTR) remains my favourite, easy to monitor (= none monitoring) stock, delivering over double-digit returns in my portfolios in the past few years while many retail investors continued to miss the rally.
On June 27, 2025, PLTR dropped 9.37% to $130.74, driven by the annual Russell index rebalancing. Its addition to the Russell 1000 Index, due to market cap growth, required its removal from the Russell Midcap Growth and Russell 2000 Indices, prompting index funds to sell shares. This sell-off is technical, not fundamental, and as some analysts note, it’s “much ado about nothing.”
Technically, the drop to $130 is a healthy pullback after hitting an all-time high of $148. PLTR typically retraces 10–12% after new highs, a pattern I've observed for a long while.
I view volatility as an opportunity, not a risk, and expect PLTR to stabilize around $125, its previous all-time high, for backtesting.
