【10月27星期四】有些人一生执着，从不失去了自己；有些人可以一直在它里面，走的不骄不躁；有些人他拥有丰富的内心，常常被虚假的传言淹没了。 今天谁在这舞台上闪烁着？

 

[Thursday, October 27] Some people are persistent all their lives and never lose themselves; some people can stay in it all the time and walk without being arrogant or impetuous; some people have a rich heart and are often overwhelmed by false rumors. Who is shining on this stage today?

 

【中期选举之前】也许我们从未想要参与其中；也许我们从未在意过什么；也许我们一直都如沧海一滴水；也许在42年前的这一天的一场总统辩论，会给我们一些的启示，回溯1980年10月28那一天。

 

如果没有未知事物的干预，我们会看到真正的民意，也会接受任何的结果，无论喜欢与否，这是选举的本意。

 

[Before the midterm elections] Maybe we never wanted to be involved; maybe we never cared; maybe we've always been a drop in the ocean; maybe a presidential debate on this day 42 years ago will give us some revelation，go back to October 28, 1980.

 

If there is no interference from the unknown, we will see true public opinion and accept any outcome, like it or not, which is the intent of the election.

 

 

【 let it sink in】也许许多人在10月27号那天，看到Elon Musk 托着重重的洗手池，进入Twitter 的总部大楼，当时是否会觉得困惑？ 我当时以为是他般运了一个厕所的马桶，是在搞恶作剧，仅此而已。

 

后来看到他的推文《Let It Sink In》，我就更加困惑了。和好几位美国朋友说起这个俚语，我还是很困惑，我想这就是文化的差异，一个俚语后面一定有它特定的故事含义，就像中文里的成语典故。

 

在洗手池里流走了什么？

 

[let it sink in] Maybe many people were confused when they saw Elon Musk holding a heavy sink and entering Twitter's headquarters building on October 27th? I thought it was a prank that he carried a thing like a toilet, that's all. 

 

After seeing his tweet “Let It Sink In", I was even more confused. Talking about this slang term with several American friends, I am still very confused. I think this is a cultural difference. One slang term shall have its specific meaning in an associated story, just like the idioms and allusions in Chinese.

【聊聊聊天的感觉】生活中的我们，每天忙忙碌碌的，忙着工作，忙着行在路上，然后迷迷糊糊地就进入了梦乡。

 

然而在长途旅行中，当你将每日的追逐放在一边，望着延伸至无尽的远方的时候，其实这时是最好的闲聊时光，随意地让思维在时空中跳跃，我挺喜欢这样的闲聊。

 

在我读书的时候，如果遇到一群喜欢聊天的人，常常会忘了回家的时间，聊天会是一种让心情舒畅的极佳的事情，当然是在自己极为熟悉的环境里，否则会保持沉默。

 

聊天的愉悦，是因为它不是一个人的舞台，而是众多人一起参与的大舞台，那种愉悦的感受，那种互相欣赏的体验，会诱发出许多的火花，让聊天越来越有趣。

 

周末愉快，未来聊的愉悦，悦人悦己。。。

 

[The feeling of chatting] In our life, we are busy every day, busy with work, busy on the road, and then stumbled into sleep.

 

However, on a long trip, when you put aside your daily pursuits and look at the endless distance, this is actually the best time to chat, let your mind jump in time and space at will, I like it very much chat.

 

When I was studying, if I met a group of people who liked to chat, I would often forget the time to go home. Chatting would be an excellent thing to relax my mood, of course in a very familiar environment, otherwise I would remain silent.

 

The pleasure of chatting is because it is not a stage for one person, but a big stage where many people participate together. The pleasant feeling and the experience of mutual appreciation will induce many sparks and make chatting more and more interesting.

【幸福很简单】我们有没有想过，其实幸福是很简单的。有时候幸福就是，在等待了很久之后，你和他依然擦肩而过，叹息的眼里，满是遗憾，结果你和他说，我们换个角色吧，结果你被突如其来的喜悦淹没了，幸福其实很简单。

 

周末一众老友相聚一起玩牌，几乎所有的人都轮流坐庄过至少一次了，热闹的气氛很快进入了深夜，在最后一局就要结束夜晚的游戏的时候，一直没有得到机会坐庄的她，决定和她的旁边的朋友互换位置，奇迹般的美好瞬间就开始了，她拿到了这个晚上最让人激动的一手好牌，让大家有了一个完美的结局。

 

后来她说，换个角色，换个环境，有时很治愈。 难道不是这样吗？

 

【Happiness is simple】Have we ever thought that happiness is actually very simple. Sometimes happiness is, after waiting for a long time, you still pass him by, sighing eyes full of regret, but you tell him, let's change roles, and you are overwhelmed by sudden joy, happiness it's actually really easy.

 

On the weekend, a group of old friends gathered to play cards together. Almost all of us took turns to sit as play-master at least once. The lively atmosphere soon entered the middle of the night. When the last game was about to end the night game,  she never got a chance to be  the play-master.  She decided to switch places with the friend next to her, and then the miraculous moment began. She got the most exciting set of card to play with. Finally everyone had a perfect ending.

 

Later, she said that changing roles and changing environments can sometimes be very healing. Is it true?
