本书是FBI犯罪心理师Zeo Bentley 惊悚系列第一本，这一系列里面的杀手一个比一个变态，很多凶手杀人纯粹就是为了满足自己的变态心理，当然魔高一尺，道高一丈，最后每个变态都被绳之以法。
Killer's Mind讲述一个有恋尸癖的变态杀手，他喜欢把受害人用绳子先勒晕了，注意不是勒死，然后从静脉注射福尔马林，受害者在极度痛苦中死去，然后把塑化了的尸体摆成各种造型，和她们一起过"日子"。
杀手的宣言：
“Till death do us part” was an unambitious concept at best. True love should ascend beyond that point.
详细的杀人细节，勒晕后注射福尔马林：
Her naked body was wiggling in a way that made him feel uncomfortable.

凶手盯上了一个单亲妈妈带着两个小孩，准备把着一家都塑化了，一起过家庭生活。不过在最后一刻Zeo救了这一家人。凶手在臆想着他未来的生活。

Zeo猜测凶手小时候肯定受过什么刺激才有这种变态心理，果不然，凶手小时候姐姐病死后，他有心理疾病的妈妈居然把他姐姐的尸体和他兄弟俩锁在一起：
