【疫情时刻】中文课，拯救自己

加拿大的病毒肺炎疫情：安省两例，卑诗省一例。

今晚的中文课（7、8年级）是过年后第一次课，全班学生只来了6名，还不到四分之一。其他族裔语言班（如俄语、西班牙语、希伯来语）一切如常。我们被告知教育局规定，上课不许戴口罩。不过，来上课的几位学生也都没有戴口罩，他们说其实没必要。

有位学生参加奥数班，说那里大部分是华人，大家都戴着口罩上课。

本来学生不多，而且学校安排的舞狮队表演照常进行。所以，就没有按教案上课。

语言学习需要和日常生活及时事结合，特别是使用一些过时的教材时。

让学生谈论天气，预报天气，什么样的天气需要注意什么是个很好的预热过程。

今晚，结合这次疫情，临时给学生简单介绍了病毒的一般知识。冠状病毒从动物宿主转移到人类宿主的共生进化现象，可能的原因及双方由对抗到相互适应过程的表现。如果不是人为结果的话，出于生存目的，病毒一旦选中人类做新的宿主，就一定会在以后的变异中降低自身对人类的毒性，减轻宿主症状，减少宿主死亡率。

舞狮表演快结束时，允许家长进入。当华人家长们进来时，远远听到其他族裔的孩子私下里相互说：“Viruses come in.”

他们怎么会这么想呢？

教育局已经发出警告，把来自中国（实际上不仅仅中国有疫情）的人主观地认为病毒携带者，这种想法本身就是一种病毒。

担心被传染是正常的，自我隔离是负责任的。但是，一些人缺乏责任心，导致另一些人的过激的歧视性反应，以及过激的防范行为，是不是在事实上已经把我们整体变成了别人眼中的病毒传播者了呢？我们该怎样去反击别人对我们整体的歧视呢？

拯救别人，得先拯救自己。
