What was the significance of the Tiananmen Square protests?

(2025-06-03 07:09:42) 下一个

Q: What was the significance of the Tiananmen Square protests?

A:

The most significant aftermath is that it triggered the fall of the Soviet Union. Following the Tiananmen Square incident, the Hungarian Communist Party fell, the Berlin Wall fell, the Czechoslovakian Communist Party fell, and the whole Eastern European and Soviet Union fell. What the protest did not succeed in was successful in Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union.

The Tiananmen Square Incident is a significant historical event. After the event, China continued its open and reform efforts with Deng’s Southern Tour. China has changed since then. The world has changed since then. The significance is big! China achieved more than the protectors expected out of the incident.
