A memo (which is short for memorandum) is a short note to a specific person or group within a business organization. Typically, memos are used to explain a policy change or direct someone to take specific action. Memos are often printed and delivered, or they can be sent via email. Regardless, a good memo follows a specific format, and is concise, clear, and friendly.

Here's the model you'll want to follow if you need to write a memo:
