The weather finally warmed up in May after the last snow fall in April. But our province is still in lockdown status.
In the evening of May 7th, I was about to go out for a walk nearby. When I opened the door, a bouquet of flowers on the porch caught my eyes instantly.
After about an hour, I strolled over to the park.I sat on a bench and gazed out over the grassland decorated with bright dandelion flowers. I had grown fond of dandelions, not just because I enjoy eating dandelions. For me, seeing those first popped up yellow blooms each spring make me cheerfull after the long cold and dull winter. The greater part is that dandelions can persevere through all of the difficult living conditions. They are condidered as sysmbols of survival and overcoming all of the difficult moments in life.
I picked up some of dandelion flowers and brought them home. I made a dandelion flowers arrangement, in memory of my mother who left us and went to heaven last year.
My mother was just like the dandelion--ordinary but with great strength, persevere and resilience. Whennever life throw a stumbing block in her way, She tough it out. I wished my mom rest in peace forever with my father.
In the afternoon, when I was having some tea, the door bell rang. When I opened the door, a little boy stood in front of me, a few meters apart. He seemed like 9 years old.
"Can I pick a tulip flower from your garden?" asked the boy.
I was a little bit suprised. I would't supprise if it was a girl asking a flower. but a boy! But then I realized he just want to give his mom a Mother's day gift.
At 7pm in the evening, my son called in as planed and said "Happy Mother's day" to me.
