与小娃对话

吃了早饭，女儿在客厅里扮家家。儿子在她边上津津有味地看书，并时不时给老妈我来个脑筋急转弯智力小测验。

儿子：The early settlers had many hardships. Name one. 

我：Lack of food and shelter?

儿子：The wooden Mayflower is a hard ship. 

我：ooh-Kay. 

儿子：Do you know the 35th president of the U.S.?

我：（想啊想，从里根第四十任一个一个往前推，还在努力中。。。）

儿子：You don't know because you were never properly introduced.

我：Uh 呸！

儿子：what would you get if a famous French general stepped on a land mine?

我：I give up. 

儿子：Napoleon Blownapart. 

我：Hahaha. Wait, do you know who Napoleon was? What do you know about Napoleon? （心想，寓教于乐的机会来了）

女儿：（一手抱着只娃娃，一手拿着玩具锅铲在玩具锅里煎着玩具荷包蛋，头也不抬地接口）Napoleon is a pastry!

我：（语塞）Right, but I meant the historical figure Napoleon. What is he known for?

女儿：（张口就来）For making lots of Napoleons!

儿子：（低头看一下书，抬头满怀信心地说）He was a French general best known for being a great pastry chef!

我：... (落荒而逃）
